On July 15-17, Almaty will host the rocket modeling competition “KAZROCKETS Aerospace Tournament”

From July 15 to 17, 2024, KAZROCKETS Aerospace Tournament 2024 will be held at the Baiserke airfield in Almaty, organized by the KazRockets Foundation with the support of the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry and RocketTech. This is an annual competition in Kazakhstan and Central Asia Asia, aimed at the development of rocket modeling sports and practical engineering among young people.

The main goal of the tournament is to inspire the youth of Kazakhstan to study aerospace technologies and scientific research. Participants will have a unique opportunity to design, build and launch rocket models. We strive to revive interest in sports rocket modeling and stimulate interest in science and engineering through rocket design.

The event will include opening ceremonies and safety briefings, after which participants will demonstrate their skills in designing and launching aircraft in various classes such as S3A, S6A, S4 and launch vehicles. Inspections of equipment and models for compliance with international FAI standards will also be organized.
