Meeting of the NCSRT with Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University: areas of cooperation discussed

The Chairman of the Board of the National Center for Space Research and Technology (NCSRT) M.S. Dzhanikeev held a working meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University NJSC B.S. Karimova.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in the field of engineering education and scientific research in the space sector. The parties discussed a number of key areas of cooperation, including:
- development of the space engineering direction at the university;
- creation of joint research laboratories;
- implementation of joint initiatives in the field of Earth remote sensing (ERS);
- and other forms of cooperation in the field of education, science and technology.
The head of the NCSRT noted the importance of integrating regional educational institutions into national scientific and technical initiatives and emphasized that the Kyzylorda region can play a significant role in training engineering personnel for the space industry. During the meeting, Marat Dzhanikeyev also invited the university management to take part in the International Forum “Space Days Kazakhstan 2025”, which will be held from September 8 to 10, 2025 in Almaty. The forum will become an important platform for dialogue on international cooperation, innovation and sustainable development in the field of space.
Beibitkul Karimova expressed the university’s readiness to actively participate in joint initiatives and noted that the development of the space direction corresponds to the university’s strategic objectives to strengthen the scientific and educational potential of the region.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to begin working on promising joint projects aimed at developing the human resources and scientific potential of Kazakhstan in the field of space technologies.
