An article by specialists from JSC National Center for Space Research and Technology (NCSRT) entitled “Modern thermal protection systems for solid rocket motors: A comparative review of composite manufacturing technologies” was published in the international journal Results in Engineering (Elsevier).

The authors of the study were Mohammed Meirbekov, Mukhammed Sadykov, Asem Kuandyk, Meir Nurzhanov, Nurmakhan Esbolov, Berdiyar Baiserikov and Arman Kulbekov.

The article presents an overview of modern technologies for producing thermal insulation materials for solid rocket engines. Particular attention is paid to promising methods for producing composites that provide reliable thermal protection under extreme loads. The work reflects the relevance of scientific research by NCST and its significance for practical tasks in the aerospace industry.
