NCSRT Employees Complete AI Training by Yandex

From June 30 to July 2, 2025, employees of JSC National Center for Space Research and Technology (NCSRT) took part in an AI training program held in Astana. The event was organized for the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MDDIAI RK) and its subordinate organizations.

The program was developed by experts from Yandex and covered a wide range of topics related to the implementation, development, and regulation of artificial intelligence in the public sector.

Training Agenda:

Day 1 – Application of AI:

Participants explored current global trends in AI development for 2025–2030, recent breakthroughs in generative AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.), the fundamentals of building sovereign AI ecosystems and data centers, as well as case studies of AI integration in digital public governance and methods for assessing its effectiveness.

Day 2 – Infrastructure, Data, and Ecosystem:

The second day focused on working with data: sources, quality, and structure. Topics included big data management, organizing data processing and analytics pipelines, and identifying common errors and risks in preparing datasets for public-sector AI models.

Day 3 – Regulation and Ethics (Online):

The final day addressed legal and ethical aspects of AI regulation. Discussions centered on algorithmic bias risks, data protection, and the integration of ethical principles throughout the AI lifecycle.
